Dai Lloyd tables motion for Public Inquiry.

South Wales West AM Dai Lloyd (Vice-Chair of the Cross Party group on Haemophilia and Contaminated Blood) is part of a group of Welsh AM's who have tabled a motion which among other things calls for a Public Inquiry into the Contaminated Blood Scandal. In the 1970's and 1980's 4,670 British haemophiliacs were infected with Hepatitis C (almost all Haemophilacs alive at that time), 1,243 were also infected with HIV and were infected by both viruses through using Contaminated Clotting Factor Products.  Over 2,000 British haemophiliacs have died due to their infections and many others are terminally ill.

There has never been a statutory investigation or Damages paid to the victims in England or Wales.
